Double Curtains Project at Villa, Arabian Ranches Bliss, Dubai

Project Summary

We recently completed a double curtain installation for a modern villa in Arabian Ranches Bliss, Dubai. To meet the client’s request for daytime brightness and night-time privacy, we customized sheer and blackout fabrics throughout the home focusing particularly on  bedroom curtains for complete darkness and elegant living room curtains to maximize natural light. The full-home fitting, including the corridor draperies, was completed in just 2 days.

Understanding Each Room

Our curtain expert did a walkthrough of the entire villa to check every window. The master bedroom window with its sliding balcony door had the measurements of 2.1 m in width and 2.4 m in height. The guest bedroom had the measurements of 1.8 x 2.3 m. As for the living room, its glass door dimensions were 3.5 m in width and 2.8 m in height. Finally, the corridor window measured 1.2 m x 2 m.

Choosing the Curtain Fabrics

For the bedrooms and corridor, the homeowner selected warm taupe and mocha blackout fabrics. Their earthy shades worked naturally with the villa’s neutral walls and beige tiled flooring.

The living room received a lighter combination. We paired grey-beige blackout curtains with ivory sheers. Every panel was cut and stitched according to its individual measurements.

Creating The Two-Layer Setup

We fitted the ceiling-mounted tracks for every room to allow each layer to work individually.

The sheer layer was fitted closer to the glass to let the daylight filtration as well as to provide slight privacy effect. The blackout curtain layer sat behind the sheer and could be drawn when the homeowner wanted stronger light blocking and privacy in the night.

This layering setup gave each room two different window management systems. They could draw only the sheers during the day and draw both at night.

Tailored Finish & Installation

Each curtain panel had a header styling of pinch pleat to allow for evenly arranged fabric folds. This style gave the room its consistent appearance while the window had its own dimensions.

We used the matching curtain tiebacks to hold these drapes open. For the bedroom curtains, we fixed them at mid-height while the living room door curtain had them fitted at a higher point.

Our fitting team aligned the tracks, hung each fabric layer properly, checked the curtain drop, and adjusted these panels before the handover. The entire project with every step was completed within 2 planned working days. Our team left the place clean as a complimentary service.
