Custom Blackout & Sheer Curtains for a Meadows 2 Villa

Project Overview

Curtain In Dubai completed a full window dressing project for a private villa in Meadows 2, Dubai, across fourteen windows. We managed the measurements, fabric selection, track fitting, and styling, completing installation in one working day.

How the Project Started

The homeowners contacted Curtain In Dubai after seeing our work at a nearby villa. They wanted soft sheers and blackout curtains with colours suited to their interiors.

Our consultant measured every opening, inspected the ceiling pockets, and discussed lighting and privacy with the family. We then prepared a quotation and fabric selection for each room.

The Homeowners’ Main Concerns

Morning sunlight was the biggest issue. The master bedroom received strong eastern light, while the children’s rooms became uncomfortable during naps.

Privacy was another concern. The ground-floor lounge faced neighbouring properties, so the family wanted outside protection without making the room feel dark.

Guests were expected that weekend, making a clean, efficient installation essential.

Fabrics, Colors & Curtain Styles

We offered the owner a dual-layer curtain arrangement on all villa windows. The styling was of linen-look sheer in ivory shade for the front layer to allow daylight filtration and keep room airy. The S-fold wave header presented the smooth wave-like folds.

Behind the sheers, we installed heavyweight triple-weave blackout curtains. Warm taupe shade was offered for the living area with a muted sand-grey tone for bedrooms. These shades matched the already existing color scheme of furniture and other finishes.

Both layers were fitted onto recessed double aluminium tracks inside the ceiling pockets for a built-in appearance.

Installation Day

Our crew arrived in the morning and protected the marble flooring before starting. The dual track system was positioned and aligned by using pin-point laser measurement. We used premium brackets that were securely fixed into concrete structure of the gypsum ceiling.

The curtain fitting team then hung blackout drapes, adjusted pleats, and correctly positioned sheers in place. Each panel was steamed and dressed by hand to achieve an even fall.

We inspected every window, corrected alignment issues, vacuumed the rooms, and completed the handover.

We planned installation around the family’s schedule, paying attention to details affecting the final appearance and finish.
