Double Curtains Installation Project in Lime Garden, Dubai Hills Estate

Project Overview

Curtain In Dubai completed a double curtain installation for a bedroom at Lime Garden, Dubai Hills Estate. The owner needed complete control of light, privacy, and a clean finish around its sliding balcony door. Our team completed the entire project on the same day.

Understanding the Bedroom

The bedroom had a large sliding balcony opening without window covering. Morning sunlight entered directly, while neighboring rooftops remained visible.

We measured the opening from wall to wall and ceiling to floor. We inspected the ceiling recess for a concealed double track.

Fabric samples were compared against the cream walls in daylight.

Addressing the Homeowner’s Concerns

The homeowner needed a solution for complete darkness at night without losing any daylight during the daytime. We suggested them a two-layer curtain solution. It had a sheer front panelling for daytime use and a blackout layer behind it to provide privacy coverage at night.

The sheer would soften outside views while preserving daylight.

We also planned a recessed track to keep the fittings hidden.

Fabric, Colour & Header Style

The selected blackout fabric was warm greige with a lightly textured surface. The shade complemented the cream interior.

We paired it with an off-white sheer designed to diffuse harsh sunlight while maintaining a bright atmosphere.

Both layers were made with an S-fold wave heading. The folds created a modern appearance and stacked neatly when opened.

Installation Day

Our team arrived in the morning and protected the flooring.

We fitted a double aluminium track inside the ceiling recess and secured it with heavy-duty anchors. We laser-levelled the track before tightening the fixings.

We extended the track beyond both sides of the balcony door so the panels could stack against the walls instead of covering the glass. This kept the opening clear when open.

Both layers were finished with a small floor clearance to prevent the hems from dragging. After hanging the panels, our team steamed the fabrics and dressed every wave by hand.

We tested both layers and cleaned the area before handover.

Final Project Results

Stronger blackout coverings create a comfortable nighttime privacy and daylight light-blocking experience.

Sheer curtains are helpful in offering privacy during the day while allowing natural daylight.

The concealed dual-track system will offer a clean look with floor-to-ceiling length curtains.
