Curtain In Dubai got the order for a custom outdoor curtain project supply & fitting in Al Satwa, Dubai. The project was for a luxury villa terrace, as the homeowner wanted shade, privacy, and a way to use their upper story terrace without losing the space. Our team supplied and installed the complete curtain system within one day.
A cream beam structure supported the space, with square columns at the corners. Two sides met at a right-angle corner. The front part had the measurement of 400 cm x 260 cm whereas the side dimensions were 300 cm x 260 cm. A solid wall with a modern light completed the third side.
Our consultant inspected the terrace and discussed its intended use. The owner wanted shade and privacy during late afternoons while keeping the sunset view available when the curtains were open.
We proposed mounting curtain rods along the inner faces of the existing beams.
This allowed the hardware to be hidden while the frame had its clean lines. The corner are had the rod having a 90-degree turn to let the curtain move around the opening for one single screen.
The homeowner selected a soft taupe outdoor fabric with a smooth finish. Its warm neutral shade complemented the cream beams and walls. The color choice for the fabric also added a touch of softness, pairing well with the bright exterior finish. This way, curtain panels felt layered instead of seeming heavy.
We made each panel with a gathered heading for fuller folds.
Each curtain panel was cut to the beam-to-floor height to let its hems sit neatly above the artificial grass carpet.
We went ahead with stainless steel rods and brackets for better outdoor durability and corrosion protection.
They marked bracket points, checked alignment, and secured the supports with suitable fixings.
Two technicians worked together. One of them took the drilling and installation of the brackets while other provided the ladder support and passed on the hardware. Once the mounting was done on both sides, the joined the rod neatly at the corner. After this, panels were hung and arranged by hands. A final curtain movement was tested for proper turning.
Afternoon sunlight is now controlled for more comfortable terrace use.
Closed curtains provide practical privacy from surrounding villas.
Corner rods allow both sides to close as one continuous screen.
Taupe fabric complements the cream structure and artificial grass.
Stainless-steel hardware suits the exposed outdoor setting.
Complete supply, installation, adjustment, and cleanup finished within one day.
The finished curtain system made the Al Satwa terrace more private and usable while preserving its open character and sunset appeal throughout afternoon and evening hours.
